Earth Day Poster Design – Independent Project
Designed entirely in Adobe InDesign, this magazine cover was created as a solo project for an Earth Day competition. I built the layout using newspaper-inspired elements to highlight themes of environmental awareness and the media’s influence on public perception. At the center, I placed an image of the Earth to underscore the global importance of sustainability. I layered in a recycled paper texture to reinforce an eco-conscious, tactile aesthetic. While I worked independently, I actively sought out feedback and critique from my peers in class to refine the direction and strengthen the final design. Although the piece didn’t win, I thoroughly enjoyed the creative process and appreciated the opportunity to explore how thoughtful composition can communicate environmental values through design.
